Matthew Albanese creates planets out of household items

The sculptor's pictures are out of this world!
I love these stunning landscape images, created by artist Matthew Albanese.
I saw an article about him in the paper and decided to take a closer look at his website. It's fascinating how the sculptor creates his miniature landscapes - including the planet Mars made entirely from paprika, a Tornado created from steel wool and a polar landscape made from sugar crystals.

Matthew, 26, started making his models by accident two years ago.
"One day I knocked over a tub of paprika and as I was cleaning up the mess I began to daydream," he tells London's Metro newspaper. "I thought it was a great shade of red and reminded me of Mars, an exotic place I could only dream of seeing. So I thought I'd bring Mars to me."
It worked, too. The lucky guy has sold at least seven of his works for more than £600 each!
If you've got some spare cash, why not buy your very own National Geographic-inspired picture of a Volcano or perhaps even The Northern Lights.
Take a look at Matthew's cool images here.
