Pulp Fiction star uses his own private jet to help injured and displaced Haitians following the quake

It's nice to see a huge Hollywood star doing some good for the world.

Despite suffering his own personal tragedy recently - when he lost his son Jett after he suffered an epileptic seizure in the Bahamas last year - John Travolta got behind the wheel of his very own Boeing 707 jet and flew in life-saving supplies to Haiti.

"We have the ability to help make a difference in the situation in Haiti and I had to use this plane to help," he said. 

Granted, Travolta's plane carried ministers and doctors from the Church of Scientology, which may make some people cringe, but it also transported 6 tonnes of ready-to-eat rations and medical supplies.

Good on you, John!!
