The feminine Divine is seeing a resurgence in today's society, with more and more people looking to get inspiration from the goddesses of old. With goddess workshops and books devoted to female divinity, there are plenty of ways you can tap into this compassionate and loving power. But how does it all work? Every emotion has a spirit and that spirit has its corresponding days of power. Here, we have attributed a Greek goddess to each day, in an attempt to put a 'face' on the spirit of that particular time. By working with, rather than against, the spirit of that day, you can bring all manner of good things into your life.
Remember that this is not about worshipping a particular entity or about changing your religion, it is just acknowledging the different correspondences that exist and calling on that energy to help you. For example Aphrodite embodies the spirit of love as well as being a goddess and so you're essentially calling for love to come into your life when you do the tasks given for the Friday. If you want to work with an energy that is not for the day you're in, patiently wait until the right day - it's only a week after all!
You can work with the colours given by either wearing a bit of that colour or changing your computer wallpaper to that colour or even wrapping a bit of translucent paper of that colour around your water bottle to infuse the water you drink with the energy of that goddess. Light the incense on that day if you like and pay attention to the number given as your lucky number. So perhaps you might want to fill in two lottery tickets on a Monday or you might want to keep five coins by your business phone on a Wednesday to bring in more calls.
Once you've done the weekly plan, you can work with your inner goddess, the one that you felt closest to and happiest with. Or alternatively, if you think an aspect of your life is lacking in some way, concentrate on that particular goddess for a couple of weeks. Above all, have fun with the weekly plan we've outlined here and do let us know how it went.
Sunday
Hestia
Hestia is a fire deity and deals with all aspects of health and the home. A home that is happy, welcoming and healthy is the goal of this goddess. You can honour this spirit by ensuring that you take your vitamins, eat good food and take moderate exercise. Within your home, it is important to keep it decluttered, clean and tidy. You will also please Hestia if you light candles at your dinner table when you sit down to eat. And that's another thing, try and instigate at least one regular meal time when all your family sit down together to eat - Sunday lunch is perfect for beginning this happy routine.
Also undertake regular smudging of the home with sage as a sacred ritual for inviting Hestia into your home. If you're lucky enough to have an open fire, try meditating in front of it to tune into the essence of this goddess.
Tasks - Clean out that old sock drawer. Take extra things you no longer use down to the charity shop. Get clicking on the internet to find good gyms in your area in order to get your health and fitness regime in place.

Monday
Demeter
Demeter is an extremely feminine goddess who represents the earth mother. She is a great deity to pray to if you're looking to have children or if you want to have a blooming garden. She also helps in overcoming grief at the death of a loved one and she rules over successful marriages.
This day is excellent for all legal work, anything with contracts, and is also excellent for being out in nature. You may also want to look at any investments you have for the future or your pension scheme on a Monday. Get on the phone to that lawyer and make him or her earn their money.
Tasks - Potter around in the garden or take a picnic out into the country. If you've recently endured a loss or are missing a loved one who has passed, make a bouquet of flowers to take down to the cemetery for them. Be extra nice to your partner this evening and remember what attracted you to them in the first place. If you're single and you'd like to be married, consider lighting a candle on a waxing moon and saying a little prayer to Demeter to bring the right person into your life.

Athene
Right, let's take some action! Athene does not hang around. With her helmet on, she is a warrior goddess with a difference! She won't stand for injustice or slacking and she'll put the world to rights before the day is out. This is the day for letting anyone that has been bugging you know how you feel. Not a day for wall flowers. With action being the name of the game today, you can really apply this to any aspect of your life that appears to be sluggish recently. Ask that man out or ask your lodger to leave - anything you've been putting off because you didn't feel you had the courage to do it can now be achieved with a little help from Athene.
She also rules over robust health so if you've been under the weather, use some of her hot energy to feel revitalised.
Tasks - No procrastinating today so finally try and get to the end of that 'to do' list. If you still don't make it, don't beat yourself up about it because this is also a day for justified selfishness. Take some 'me' time and ignore anyone who complains - you deserve a break too.

Gaea
The word 'Gaea' literally means 'earth' and represents the beginning of our life. She accepts all and judges none. This is an excellent time for communicating with others because you'll understand them more. Your empathy levels will be high and Gaea will help you find a gentle rhythm to the day.
Again, this is a great time to be in the great outdoors but if you're stuck in an office, you can jump into the spirit of the day by whispering sweet nothings to your office plant and maybe even discreetly putting your fingers into the soil of your desk plant.
You will also find that any projects you start today are likely to be crowned with success as Gaea has tremendous powers of creativity and abundance. You should try putting any proposals you send out on green paper as this will further enhance your chances of success.
Tasks: Tie a green ribbon around your phone receiver today so that your communications go swimmingly. This evening is a terrific time to get together with friends and have a good old gossip. It's also a good time to get in some listening practice.

Hera
The Queen of the Gods was known for her temper but she was also said to be extremely generous to those that were loyal to her. It may sound selfish but you can best please this goddess by treating yourself right and taking on board all the blessings that life has given you. If you're grateful for the simple things like an enjoyable bath or the perfect cheese sandwich, you'll find that other bigger things will also come your way.
Hera loves to see you enjoying yourself so do something just for you today. As she represents all aspects of feminine life and development, she can also free you from the responsibilities of being a woman for a time. If you enjoy beauty treatments then this is also the time to take extra care of your body. Get dressed up for the evening and go out to dinner. However, just remember to stay faithful if you have a partner as Hera abhors a cheat!
Task: have a perfumed bath. Get a baby-sitter for your children and go spend some time enjoying yourself. A spa visit at this time would be especially welcome.

Aphrodite
Love is in the air with this ultimate love goddess. This is the perfect day to ask someone out or to go on a date. Aphrodite makes you as beautiful as you can be and brings lovers to your door. This is an excellent time for non-romantic love too so you should use this day to bury the hatchet with anyone you've had a row with.
When was the last time you gave someone a compliment? You may not realise it but kind words from you can really make the day of the person on the receiving end. Aphrodite will help you overcome any shyness in letting people know how great they are. Spread some of that love around and it's sure to come back at you! Also remember that it isn't a crime to be single and luxuriate in your own company for a while.
Tasks: make a list of all your best qualities and re-read it often. Then make a list of all the things you look for in a partner and don't settle for anyone you just feel lukewarm about. It is much better to be single and happy than in a relationship and miserable.

Artemis
Artemis is the virgin huntress and, boy, did she have a temper on her! This is one lady who does righteous indignation really well so you can certainly get some of that Artemis energy going when you complain in a store when shopping or get sales calls at home on the weekend. It's great to vent and on this day, any foot-stomping you do is likely to yield results.
You should also spend time in the company of animals or enjoying them in nature. While Artemis is the queen of the hunt, as a huntress she needed to know how animals think so a modern interpretation would be to be kind to animals and enjoy their company.
Artemis also rules the wild places so consider going on a hike in the open countryside, especially near woodland. If it all gets too energetic, you could always do a hiking pub crawl and raise a glass to the virgin huntress.
Tasks: Write any letters of complaint you've been putting off. Take your dog to the park for a longer runaround than usual. Get studious and pick a subject to research or find out more about.
