cometAstrologer sues Nasa

Russian astrologer Marine Bai is suing Nasa for £150 million.
On 1st July scientists launched a probe designed to crash into a comet the size of Manhattan, 83million miles from Earth. The Deep Impact project was designed to help scientists uncover the building blocks of life. Moments before impact the probe revealed craters unchanged since the solar system was formed 4.6 billion years ago. Nasa scientists are ecstatic but not everyone is so happy. Astrologer Bai says, "elements of the comet's orbit will change after the explosion, which interferes with my work and distorts my horoscope."

Ian LawmanIan Lawman - TV's hard man psychic reveals his soft side

By Tania Ahsan

You've just finished 'I'm Famous and Frightened Live'. Who was the most psychic celebrity in your opinion?
It's quite a close call. Ruth Maddox and Toyah Wilcox really impressed me. Very, very spiritual people with deep religious beliefs which I admired. I would like to work with those two again. Jono was the person I thought would give me most stick but once again Jono has totally shocked me with how spiritual he came across and how nice he was, a really nice guy. It was crazy because you meet someone for the first time and with him I felt like I'd known him for years, he felt like a mate.

What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
I went to a place called Fort Amhurst in Catham Kent. I was meant to be going around it with a journalist. Before anyone turned up I had a walk around to see if I could pick anything up. I saw a soldier walk towards me and lash out with a sword to cut my face. I touched my face and it was wet like it was bleeding but there was nothing on my hand and when I looked up, the soldier was gone. I've never told anyone that story because for the first time in my life, I had to walk out. I didn't run but I had to leave that place. I'm embarrassed to admit it but that incident did put the willies up me.

Aren't you afraid that spirits will come to visit when you're in the shower or on the loo, thereby invading your privacy?
Unfortunately for me I can't close down so I have them with me 24 /7. I see dead people with their relatives, whether I'm at the supermarket or wherever. I used to do a psychic development circle in a Spiritualist church in which I taught people how to close down but I've never been able to close. Even with advice from other psychic mediums like Derek Acorah and Tony Stockwell, it doesn't happen for me. I'm a nightmare to live with, or so I've been told.

Does that mean you sometimes get information that you haven't asked for and wished you hadn't got?
One scary thing for me about 17 years ago was when my sister got killed. I'd been having this recurring dream for about a year. One particular day I was out and I heard somebody say my sister was going to die and she died at 6 O'clock that night. In the dream I used to have I used to see a hill and trees and running water and my sister on her bike. Well, the place where she was knocked down had a beck near woods. It was the worst message I have ever received psychically.

What's the most amazing thing that's ever happened to you?
The most amazing thing in my life was bringing my daughter back to life. My daughter was three at the time and she had a cold with a chest infection. She went into federal convulsion (stopped breathing for short period of time). With such convulsions, the breathing normally kick starts again but with her it didn't. She stopped breathing and I had to give her mouth-to-mouth. I have a special bond with her and I think it's because of bringing her back to me like that.

If someone wanted to increase their own psychic abilities, what would you suggest they do?
I always suggest talking to people who've had experiences themselves. Go and join a group you feel comfortable with, whether a Spiritualist church or a private home. Find a person who knows what they are doing and everything should be okay.

What's your next project?
I'm in negotiations with various TV companies but hopefully I'm Famous and Frightened five would be nice!
