Spiders

Be wary. Spiders are weavers of beauty and spinners of dreams, but their webs can trap you and are often webs of deception. The perfection of their cobwebs demonstrates persistent labour, for which they are renowned. But the beauty is bait to entrap, indicating that we shouldn't be taken in. Spiders can sense the slightest movement on the periphery of their webs. They can be the great mother or creative power and weavers of fate because their sticky web comes from their own bodies, like an umbilical cord. Are you tied to your mother - what is binding you?
Spiders are also creepy crawlies - instilling fear with the speed at which they move and their potentially poisonous bite can also create phobias. Such dreams are warning you to find out what is crawling around in your life, lurking in the corners. Little spiders, such as money spiders, however, can indicate good luck.
Alternatively, spiders are magical. Their bodies are shaped like the figure eight, the lemniscate or symbol of infinity. In some cultures the eight legs represent the four directions or winds. If you dream of this, you are being asked to rise above the daily dross and view your destiny.
Getting lost - "Where am I?" In life and in dreams, it can get confusing

Being lost in a dream indicates you have lost your sense of direction and are prey to whims and vagaries of your surroundings. Pay attention, make decisions about where your life is going. It's important to recognise the place type. Deserted countryside: no definite features on your horizon to make out the route you should take. A city street: closer to home, maybe you took the wrong route in waking life. A spot like Spaghetti Junction: too many options and dithering, rather than a clear course.
Attractive stranger - who is the mysterious sweetheart in your dreams?

Dreaming of an attractive stranger is wish-fulfilment mostly: there's a gap in your life and relationships are not too satisfactory so you create the love of your life in your sleep. It can be an indicator you've met them for real and not even noticed. Think hard. Was it someone at a party who caught your eye, but you were distracted? When you looked later you didn't find him? The memory has reappeared in a dream. Is he still around? More importantly, is he available?
Rough seas - what's stirring in the depths of your mind?

Water in dreams represents emotions and intuition - deep psychological undercurrents. The sea is huge and out of our control, so rough waves and strong tides indicate great turbulence in our lives. Since the recent tsunamis, tidal waves are high in our memories and indicate being overpowered by great waves of emotion. In dreams, we always survive these waves, though others may drown. Also, turbulent water can represent something stirring in the depths of our consciousness - something we have tried to repress. Such dreams are important messages.
